Austin, TX city rule

On residential property, amplified sound is allowed from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. up to 75 decibels; from 10 p.m. to 10 a.m. it may not be audible beyond the property line.

Austin's official sound guidance applies those limits to amplified sound on residential property. Residential property is not eligible for an outdoor sound permit, so a permit does not extend those residential hours.
